Happiness Cowl

Happy January! New year and the first new design of 2019! Hope this beginning of this year has been a good and meaningful one, I know the past few weeks have given me a lot to think about!

We are enjoying all the snow and winter activities. I'm also preparing for Vogue Knitting Live in NYC just in a week - so more new patterns to come next week! Stay tuned!

I know many of you have been waiting for this cowl and after Jonna kindly took these stunning pictures it's finally ready for you.

Happiness Cowl

Squishy brioche is mixed with colorplay for a warm and lovely cowl. The patterning might look complicated, but in reality it’s actually quite simple!

This project is perfect for all your DK weight single skein stash finds. Happiness cowl was such a happy project for me - all the lovely colors brought together by gentle movement of brioche and the cherry on top was the fun of I-cord cast on and bind off.

Yarn: 3 skeins of DK weight yarn (each in a different color). Approx. a total of 630 yards (585 meters) of DK weight yarn; 210 yards (195 meters) of each MC, CC1 and CC2.
Shown in the following yarns and colors -
  • MC: Merino DK by La Bien Aimée in colorway Yellow Brick Road (yellow).
  • CC1: Merino DK by Hedgehog Fibres in colorway Coral (pink-coral).
  • CC2: Marquess (MCN DK) by Primrose Yarn Co in colorway Dreams (gray-speckled).
Finished measurements: 50” (125 cm) in circumference and 10” (25 cm) deep.
