Look at that December weather! It's almost snowing, only wish the temperatures would stay below zero... Anyway it's a good day to wear a warm woolen shawlette, or start knitting one! Here's the second December pattern -

This lovely little shawlette features garter stitch, short rows and shell patterning. It’s a quick and fun knit and wonderful to wear around your shoulders or wrapped around your neck.

brightest day

The countdown is on! Only 22 days to Christmas.

Waiting for Christmas is special every year and this year is no exception. The first weeks of December might be just about the best time of the whole year! I'm going to dedicate these weeks to all those loose ends, all the many designs that have been waiting, delayed or otherwise forgotten. Or just barely finished! Let's see how many I actually manage to accomplish this December.

First a cute beanie pattern -

Brightest day

Splash a bit of color into the season! This small scalloped beanie is easy to knit with only a few rounds of stranded colorwork.

Yarn: Tosh Merino Light by Madelinetosh, 200 - 300 yards [183 - 274 meters] of fingering weight yarn, both colors included.
Needles: US 1½ [2.5 mm] and US 2½ [3 mm]
Finished brim circumference: 16 (18, 19¾)” [40 (45, 50) cm].

Enjoy!
