whales
There is some magic in handmade. It might be the love or simply the thought in them, but it's magic. And a handmade gift is a happy made gift. That's how I feel.
These whales were little A's idea and a gift for his best friend. We had so much fun making them. They are filled with dry peas, so they are quite heavy and really whale-like - though not that big...

pucker
Summer, here we come! I had sudden urge to knit something for warmer days and luckily I remembered Pucker by Norah Gaughan. I fell in love with the design the moment I saw it and after knitting I think I love it even more.
Pattern: Pucker by Norah Gaughan
Yarn: Novita Bambu
Needles: 5 mm
It was a really fast knit and turned out great. I was not that sure of the color - I'm not that big fan of brown - but for this project it was perfect. I did do a lot of modifications: I had different gauge, added some a-line shaping, did some "puckers" on the back and knitted in the round. I'm so happy!

denim
I wear jeans all the time. All the time. When it gets too warm (well, that's rare in this climate) I switch to denim skirt. I do love denim. Sometimes I still hope to have it all somehow differently. This is my attempt to make denim a tiny bit more elegant.
It was hard to capture this denims true nature in the photos. It's not that stiff or heavy, but not too light either. And I love how it's just dark enough. A truly beautiful fabric indeed. The skirt turned out great.

black
This sweater has been on needles for a very long time. I do tend to have a lot of WIP's at the same time, keeping focus on just one seems to be impossible for me. I'm not particularly proud of it, but i haven't found a way to change this habit - yet.
Pattern: Tunique col carré by citronille (more like the idea of that tunic)
Yarn: Novita Bambu
Needles: 4 mm, 3,5 mm, 3 mm
I loved nininaphtaline's version of this tunic, but wanted a more fitted sweater. It worked out quite well. Still there is something about my sweater, that I'm not completely happy about. The sleeves are perfect, as is the neck. It might be the hem, but i do like the length of this sweater. The yarn is soft, but the fabric seems to stretch a lot. When I first tried it on, it was so tight that I almost started to cry. After blocking it was fine and now after some use it still stretches more.

sailor stripes
Sailor stripes are here! Out or in, I always love stripes. We have a wardrobe full of stripes in every colorway and every size, for all of us. And now there's one more for me.
I had no pattern. It's a basic t-shirt with boat neck and very long sleeves. I aimed for a bit looser fit, since the fabric (knit cotton from Marimekko) is quite stiff. It's my new favorite.
