Hello December!

I seem to almost end blogging, but then end up doing a little post on my latest design every six months or so... Time for another pattern introduction: Meet Bixbite!

This shawl was originally designed for my Knit Stars Class, but is now available separately. Three colors of fingering weight yarn, one skein in each color and you are set to enjoy some stripe fun! Maybe this would be the perfect little holiday project, once all the gift knitting is done... I'm tempted to knit another one...

Bixbite Shawl, named after the gemstone, is a play with all the stripes! Lovely bias construction and ever changing stripes paired with the perfect colors will sure keep you going row after row.

Sooner than you know, there will be a lovely new shawl finished and all the different stripes are now your friends!

Yarn: 3 skeins of Merino Singles by La Bien Aimée. Approx. 1140 yards 1050 meters of fingering weight yarn; 380 yards 350 meters of each MC, CC1 and CC2.
The sample was knit in gemstone inspired colorways Fluoro Morganite (MC, neon peach), Heliodor (CC1, neutral speckle with yellow and pink) and Malachite (CC2, green).

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 32” (80 cm) long or longer.

Finished measurements: 81” (205 cm) long and 18” (45 cm) deep at deepest spot.
