frost thread
This is again one of those sweaters - Must. Knit. Now. And I'm glad I did. Knitting was fun, yarn is delicious and perfect in this color.
It's all clean lines and a fun collar, nothing too fancy. The piece is worked from top down, in the round and with lots of short rows. I think I'm sort of addicted to short rows. There's always something new you can do with them. So I end up with more and more studies.
Pattern: mine, will be published later.
Yarn: Tosh merino light by Madelinetosh.
Needles 3.5 and 4 mm.

hidden in the forest
Oh, it happens all the time! After finishing some exhausting things, I always seem to knit a shawl with stripes. And I've done it again... Striped shawl must be my idea of relaxing.
This time there's even a bit (a lot!) of kitschy feelings in this one, but I love that! You know, clumsy childish "trees" knitted in "lace" pattern. Tasteless and shallow, yes, but I love it.
And one more thing - the "striped shawls for whole family" -project is not all forgotten! I have finally made perfect, perfect plans for the little fellows...
