Gathering Stripes for Men

Jumping from Summer Shawls straight to Winter... It's been a slow Autumn here on 100% rain! True, I have been knitting and knitting and knitting some more - and getting some new patterns ready. But never really finishing anything... Guess I have been hibernating a bit!

Hopefully this would be a new start for more active phase for me and for this blog. At least the pile of finished knits and almost finished patterns is growing oh so very long!

I'm starting with a long over-due design: Gathering Stripes for Men!

Gathering Stripes for Men

Gathering Stripes for Men is worked from the top down in one piece, like all the Gathering Stripes pullovers. It’s knitted loosely for light weight, yet the big cowl-neck adds some warmth and texture to the piece. This adult version for men has also some short rows for back of the neck for a good fit.

Yarn: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5) skeins of Posh Fingering by The Uncommon Thread (70% BFL, 20% Silk and 10% Cashmere; 440 yards [400 m] per 100 g): 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins of MC and 1 (1,
1, 1, 1, 1) skein of CC.

Needles:
US 6 [4 mm] and US 2½ [3 mm] circular needle, 32” [80 cm] long, and dpns.

Finished chest circumference:
36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56)” / 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140) cm. Choose a size with at least 1” 2.5 cm of positive ease.
