honey beret giveaway

A new pattern! Honey Beret has been in the works for some time now, but it's finally finished. Cables and lace, interesting but not too complicated. I have updated the lace pattern quite a bit from the prototype and I think it is much better this way.

I'm so happy to be a part of this crafty community. Thank you for coming here and thank you for your interest in my patterns. I have seen so many great versions made and that's unbelievably amazing every time! So, a little something to give to you: The pictured beret is for one of you! To enter this giveaway, leave a comment before Thursday 25th of March.

This quickly knitted small beret is great for chilly weathers and it completes the Honey Cardigan with some matchy matchy feeling.

Yarn: 170 - 220 yards (150 - 200 m) of worsted weight yarn
Gauge: 18 stitches and 25 rows = 4 inches (in Stockinette stitch)

answer

There was a question about how the Twenty Ten cardigan looks when opened. Well, it looks like this! I must admit, that I've never worn it this way - but I do like how the asymmetry gets stronger.

Twenty Ten Cardigan

Oh, sweet weekend - it's almost here. If you are planning on knitting-kind-of-craft-weekend , it's my pleasure to let you know that the pattern for Twenty Ten Cardigan is ready!

This comfy short-sleeved cardigan is worked from the bottom up in one piece. The diagonal button band, one small pocket and roomy cowl neck give this cardigan a fresh and modern look. The slightly A-lined body is worked in moss stitch and the sleeves in reversed Stockinette stitch.

Finished bust circumference: 33 (35.5, 39.5, 43.5, 47)"/84 (90, 100, 110, 120) cm
Yarn: 722 - 1028 yards (660 - 940 m) of bulky weight yarn

a dress for spring

March is here and the sun is warmly shining - spring is in the air. Is there a better way to celebrate the beginning of the spring than with a brand new dress? I don't think so. For the first time this year I wore a dress (my new dress) and it felt so springy and light - even though I think we still have more snow than in last few years altogether.

I had fun time planning this dress but the actual knitting was a bit tedious. In the end it all worked out great, the dress fits like a dream, it goes as a tunic with jeans as well and the pockets are just right. My grey phase sure continues, but this light grey is perfect for the spring. (At least in my mind.)

Pattern: my own
Yarn: DROPS Alpaca
Needles: 3 mm

I'm all happy. And oh so ready for you spring!
