blackcurrant shawl
Blackcurrant shawl pattern is already finished! I'm so happy with it, my first shawl pattern. Many thanks to the wonderful test knitters!
Blackcurrant is a sweet little shawl, knitted with one skein of sock yarn and some silky lace yarn held together. Increases along both edges, centre and two other locations give it unusual shape and make it more interesting to knit and to wear!
Finished size: 130 cm/51” wide and 50 cm/20” long at centre.
Yarn: one skein of sock yarn and some silky lace yarn held together,
approx. 330 meters/ 360 yards of both.
Gauge: 14 sts and 24 rows in 4" (in Stockinette stitch)
The gauge isn't crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size.

small ocean
My skinny and cropped spring cardigan, my small ocean. Yup. This one is a bit tight, but so much fun after all the grey and black. All the small details worked out just right. Love the neckline, the waist shaping, the short row sleeve caps - even the color is great.
But the yarn. Must say I'm little bit disappointed. Knots, strange puffy joins, bits with almost no twist at all and leaking color (blue hands long after knitting). And I should have picked up larger needles to begin with - but I kind of liked the tight fabric. (Not anymore, since it will not grow one bit - no matter how hard I block it...)
But the color is great, even after washing. And I have the feeling that I'll wear this a lot in the summer. It should be perfect little cardigan for warmer days.
Pattern: my own.
Yarn: Colinette Jitterbug
Needles: 3 mm

blackcurrant
Spring seems to be a season for shawls to me. Last year it was the textured shawl, but this year I didn't have any pattern that much obsessive - so I made one myself. Perfect little knit, lots of garter and enough of Stockinette. Love, love love.
Love the shape as it forms small ruffles to the points or ends - kind of ruffles with no ruffles. It's drapey, wearable and so soft. And that deep purple, lilac and red altogether is so perfect. My color.

Yarn: Casbah Sock and Wetterhoff Sivilla (held together)
