before dark and adult gathering stripes

Oh, it's the last day of Feb and finally I have two new patterns for you. Hope you enjoy them!

Before Dark

Before Dark is a simple double-breasted cardigan with some easy shaping for the body and short rows for back of the neck. The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece.

Finished chest circumference: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50)”  [75 (85, 95, 105, 15, 125) cm].
Yarn: 1200 - 1600 yards [1097 - 1463 m] of Silky Merino DK by The Uncommon Thread or other DK weight yarn.
Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rows in Stockinette stitch

And the second design is
Gathering Stripes - adult version

Gathering Stripes is worked from the top down in one piece. It’s knitted loosely for light weight, yet the big cowl-neck adds some warmth and texture to the piece. This adult version has also some shaping for the waist and short rows for back of the neck.

Finished chest circumference: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50)”  [75 (85, 95, 105, 115, 125) cm].

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows in Stockinette stitch

Note: There will soon be a male sized version of Gathering Stripes too. It will be added as a separate pdf, later this Spring.

gathering stripes - adult version

Oh, I can't tell how glad it made me that many of you requested the gathering stripes pattern for adults too! The thought never occurred to me. Even when I worked the sample, I never knew how much I would love this piece.

Now I can't stop wearing it, I'm sure I must knit another one pretty soon. Oh, and I think I must make one for the rest of the family too. This will so be our family sweater...

The pattern should be ready and published by the end of Feb!
